We are always happy to have you as our guests in our Hotel Gurglhof but your health is even more important to us!
On Thursday, March 12 we were informed in the media that on Sunday March 15 all cable cars in the Tyrolean ski areas will be closed. In addition, the Tyrolean state government has made the decision all accommodation facilities (hotels, pensions, apartments) are to be closed on March 16. This means that guests must leave the hotels by Monday morning at the latest.
In the morning of March 13 there will be a press conference where more details are expected. Regardless of this, it is important to us that our guests are informed in the best possible way. In order to take this special situation into account, we have compiled the following "Questions & Answers". Our goal is to minimize your inconvenience.
WHAT HAPPENS INF I HABE PLANNED MY VACATION AT HOTEL GURGLHOF FOR THE PERIOD AFTER MARCH 16?
In this case you can cancel your booking free of charge. You will of course receive any down payments already made. When you have transferred the deposit, the sum will be transferred back to your account. If the deposit has been debited from your credit card, it will be credited back.
Due to the excellent booking situation, we ask for your understanding that this process can take up to 14 days. There are many guests who need to be contacted by us.
I HABE BOOKED THROUGH AN ONLINE PLATFORM (E.G. BOOKING.COM, EXPEDIA ETC.) IS A SPECIAL APPROACH NECESSARY IN THIS CASE?
No. Due to the current situation, we will cancel your booking via the respective platform as the accommodation provider. A deposit will of course be returned (as described above).
MY ARRIVAL WILL FOLLOW SHORTLY AND MY DEPARTURE WAS PLANNED AFTER MARCH 15. CAN I STILL CANCEL?
Yes. In this case there are 2 options. You can either cancel your booking free of charge or arrive as planned and leave in the morning of March 16 by the latest. You then only pay for the nights that you have spent with us.
I HAD BOOKED A “NON-REFUNDABLE RATE” (100% DOWN PAYMENT, NOT CANCELLABLE). CAN I STILL CANCEL MY PLANNED STAY?
Yes. Since we cannot deliver the promised services, you can also cancel your booking free of charge. In this case too, you will receive any down payments already made.
I HAD ALSO BOOKED OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLANNED VACATION (FLIGHT, TAXI TRANSFER, SKI COURSES, ETC.) – DO I ALSO GET THESE COSTS REFUNDED IF I CANCEL?
No. Unfortunately this is not possible. We recommend contacting the respective provider directly to clarify the further procedure. We are convinced that these providers will also do their best to support you in this special situation.
